Keep text, shapes, drawings and backgrounds on separate layers. Show, hide, duplicate and reorder them as your composition develops.

HOW IT WORKS

One workflow, from grid to export.

  1. Choose your grid

    Set the width and height for your display within your package’s pixel allowance.

  2. Create or import

    Draw, add shapes and text, or import media. Arrange each element on a layer.

  3. Animate and preview

    Add poses or edit frames. Check timing, colours and readability on the grid.

  4. Export and test

    Choose an output format and verify it with your target software or controller.

Each controller file supports up to 20 ports × 50 pixels — 1,000 pixels per controller. Larger grids are divided into files for additional controllers. The maximum project size and available BIN generations depend on your package.

BIN export supports compatible controller firmware. Contact us to confirm your controller before subscribing.

What is Ascend Studio?

Ascend Studio is a browser-based pixel LED design and animation editor. Create layered designs, edit individual frames, animate objects and export files for your lighting workflow.

Can I make wedding lighting animations?

Yes. Build scrolling names, wedding messages, geometric patterns, rising fills and other effects for pixel matrices, wedding stages and decorative light installations.

Does it support Urdu and Arabic text?

The text tools include Urdu, Arabic and English font options. Choose a font and preview it on your actual grid: readability depends on letter shape, font size and the number of LEDs available.

Can I edit an imported GIF frame by frame?

Yes. Imported animation can be shown as individual frames for manual editing. Imported media does not automatically include editable text or shape objects from the original design.

What files can I export?

Export options include GIF, AVI, PNG, JPG, Glediator OUT, TOL and controller BIN files. GIF and AVI contain animation; JPG and PNG export a still frame. Format compatibility varies between other applications.

How many pixels does one controller BIN contain?

The current BIN layout uses up to 20 columns and 50 rows per controller: 1,000 pixels. Larger grids are divided into controller files. Your package determines the allowed design size.

Will BIN files work with every WS2811 controller?

No. WS2811 describes the pixel signalling, not the animation file format. BIN export is intended for the configured controller firmware. Confirm compatibility and test a small design before programming your installation.
